A new meeting for Cinemalab European trainees:
former trainees will be participating in the 20th Cinema en Construction session which will take place on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of September in the course of the San Sebastian Festival (Spain).

Two former CSF trainees unite themselves for an event! French Gregory LePerff from Dieppe Scène Nationale hosted the premiere of BRIGHTON ROCK by Rowan Joffe on Sunday the 19th. This screening was introduced by Jon Barrenechea, manager of the Duke of York's, Brighton arthouse cinema:

Nomad Film Distribution, Lydia Genchi's distribution company from Italy, releases the Chilean film DAWSON ISLA 10 by Miguel Littin. Lydia participated in the last Toulouse Cinemalab workshop (March 2011).

The Cinemalab European trainees will have the opportunity to meet their Latin American counterparts and some representatives of Latin American institutions during the Cannes Film Festival.

A first acquisition by The Red de Distribución Latinoamericana (Latin-American Distribution Network). This network was created last October following the Cine Sin Fronteras workshop which took place in the mark of the International Festival of Valdivia.
Their first action, done during the Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente, was to buy the Guatemalan film MARIMBAS FROM HELL directed by Julio Hernandez Cordon.
